The Confucius Institute of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, as part of the celebrations for its fifteenth anniversary, together with the University of International Studies in Shanghai and the Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean of the CLEC Foundation, are pleased to send you the call for the “International Congress on Teaching Mandarin Chinese to Spanish Speakers: Expanding Horizons, Connecting Cultures » which will take place on March 21 and 22, 2024 in Lima.
The objective of this congress is to create an enriching space for the exchange of experiences and cooperation in the region for professionals and experts in the teaching and promotion of the Chinese language, as well as in the translation of Chinese-Spanish/Spanish-Chinese.
The proposed topics for the congress are:
New methodologies and innovations in the teaching of Mandarin Chinese to Spanish speakers.
The problems of learning Mandarin Chinese grammar for Spanish speakers.
Successful experiences and initiatives of institutions dedicated to teaching and/or
Promotion of Mandarin Chinese.
Mandarin Chinese and International Certifications as a Tool
Professional in specialized fields.
The Universe of Chinese-Spanish/Spanish-Chinese Translation
We extend our invitation to teachers, researchers and experts in the teaching of Mandarin Chinese, as well as academic and administrative authorities of entities promoting the teaching of Chinese throughout Latin America to register their participation by sending their paper proposal using around 350 words in Spanish or Chinese using the link https://forms.gle/9KxhJpGTgAbjUFY67
