Dear directors of Chinese teaching institutions and Chinese language teachers in Latin America and the Caribbean:

In order to develop the capacity of Chinese language teachers in the region in the theory and pedagogy of Chinese language ontology, the use and exploration of teaching materials, and improve their knowledge and dissemination of Chinese culture, the Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean of the CLEC Foundation has commissioned the Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) to conduct online training for all Chinese language teachers in the region. We hope that the directors of the Confucius Institutes, the heads of the Confucius Classrooms and all Chinese language teaching institutions will actively organise their teachers to participate in the training. The information is detailed below:

  1. All participating teachers should download the ZOOM APP in advance.
  2. All the schedule is based on Beijing time (GMT+8). We request that each teacher review the schedule according to their time zone.
  3.  Please enter the meeting room 10 minutes before the class begins. 
  4.  After the training, teachers who have completed 8 courses or more may request the training certificate (digital version) issued by the CLEC Foundation’s Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean.
  5. The training is free of charge for the participants.
