1. Objective and theme
The CLEC Foundation – Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean announces this contest to promote the learning of Chinese through singing, a playful and effective tool that perfects pronunciation, stimulates creativity and strengthens cultural ties, inviting the community to sing in Chinese and celebrate nature.
The theme of the Contest is: “We Sing with Nature”
Each participant should carefully read the rules below, to ensure their eligibility and understanding of the requirements.
2. Participants
- Chinese language students from any educational institution in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- A valid student certificate (2025) must be attached. It must be signed by the head of the Chinese language teaching institution where they are located, in addition to indicating the level of Chinese learning (basic – intermediate – advanced). Certificates from previous years will not be accepted.
- Participants who are Chinese nationals must present permanent or long-term residence permite in their country of residence.
- Under 18 years of age: send authorization signed by legal guardian.
- Participation can be individual or group. If it is a group, only 1 member (representative) must submit the form and all required materials, in addition to having the authorization of participation of the members. If selected, they will receive 1 prize per group.
3. Categories (choose one)
- Performance of a song in Chinese related to nature. The information of the song must be included: title, artist.
• The evaluation will be based on: introduction in Chinese language, pronunciation, intonation, staging.
- Chinese adaptation of a Latin American song on a natural theme.
• Adaptation of a song from Latin America and the Caribbean into the Chinese language. The information of the original song must be included: title, artist.
•Accompaniment music can be used in the performance, may use a backing track provided no original vocals remain; otherwise the platform will remove the video, otherwise, the online publishing platform will remove the video.
• The evaluation will be based on: introduction in Chinese language, intonation, pronunciation and translation, staging, adaptation of the song.
- Original composition in Chinese whose content highlights nature or its protection.
• Composition of a song in the Chinese language. The information of the song must be included: title, artist.
• The evaluation will be based on: introduction in Chinese language, intonation, pronunciation, coherence, staging, composition of the song.

Introduction | Maximum 1 minute of presentation in Chinese: name, institution, category, reason for choosing the song and link with nature.The video must meet the requirements for each category. The content of the video must be highly compatible with the category selected by the contestant. |

Music | No original voice-over; Copyright-compliant instrumental tracks are accepted. |
Important considerations
- Materials must be sent through the WeTransfer platform andreamella@fundacionclec.org with a copy to contacto@fundacionclec.org. If another shipping platform is used, make sure it has the appropriate access permissions.
- After the participating videos and materials have passed review, the Regional Center will send a confirmation message to participants within 3 business days.
- For all categories, accompanying music can be used in the performance, making sure that there is no original singing sound, otherwise the online platform will remove the publication of the video.
- The Regional Center will have a panel of experts who will form the review committee, to carry out the evaluation and review of all the works.
Announcement of the winners. The winners for all categories will be announced at the closing ceremony that will be held online through the Zoom platform.

6. Awards
The organizing committee will issue prize certificates and award the prizes to the winners. Each participant can only receive one prize. The most outstanding in all categories will be awarded:
The prizes are:
- First prize 400 USD
- Second prize: 300 USD
- Third prize: 200 USD
Popularity Award (online voting): 200 USD
Online Voting: Participants and online users must enter the Regional Center’s YouTube channel page to vote online by 12:00 (noon) on December 3, Chile time (GMT-3). The “Likes” on the video on the YouTube platform https://www.youtube.com/c/fundacionclec will be counted.
The prize will be sent via Western Union in US dollars (at the exchange rate in Chilean pesos) calculated on the day of shipment of the prize. The participant will receive the prize in local currency, deducting bank fees and other charges. Each winner will be required to submit proof of receipt of the prize signed personally or by their legal guardian as applicable.
7. Rights and responsibilities
- The material must be original; Any copyright matter is the responsibility of the participant.
- Submitted works must be original and created by the same entrant according to the requirements of each category;
- Participation in the competition involves no payment or fee.
- If there is any participation of other people in the video, they must have their authorization;
- Legal issues such as copyright, reputation rights, authorization of the participants in the video and others, involved in the work will be borne by the participant himself, ensuring that the video will not infringe the copyright of a third party;
- By submitting your application, you authorize the Regional Center to enjoy the right to distribute your work online indefinitely;
- The Regional Center and cooperative media have the right to reuse submissions for exhibition, demonstration, and other purposes for advertising purposes, without additional remuneration or permission;
- CLEC Foundation – Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean is the organizer of the event.
- It is the participant’s responsibility to submit all requested materials. Lack of requested materials will lead to the removal of the participant from the participation process.
- Anyone who submits their application is considered to have accepted the conditions of this competition.
8. Application materials

- Video as required.
- Photography.
- (If applicable) Permanent residence or guardian authorization.
