Speakers
Anqi Ding
Anqi Ding, PhD, is professor at the Institute of Global Chinese Language Teacher Education and Executive Vice Dean of School of International Chinese Studies, East China Normal University, China. Her research field is teaching Chinese as a second/foreign language, and her research interests include Chinese learner study, Chinese language teacher education, and theories of Chinese language teaching. She has published two academic monographs and about 100 academic papers on Chinese peer-reviewed journals. She has developed more than 20 Chinese coursebooks. Prof. Ding is a vice president of the Standard and Accreditation Committee of the International Society of Chinese Language Teaching and a committee member of Shanghai Chinese Association. Currently, she works as the principal investigator of some key projects (such as International Curriculum for Chinese Language Education) funded by Center for Language Education and Cooperation.
Sylvia Sin辛塾娟
TCSOL certified Chinese Language Teacher, she currently teaches Chinese at the Confucius Institute in Peru and San Silvestre International School, with over five years of cross-cultural teaching experience. She specializes in curriculum and teaching material design, as well as developing programs for children and youth. She is adept at integrating digital tools and AI technology to promote innovative teaching and has presented her research findings at numerous international conferences.
Verena Veludo Papacidero茹晨曦
Brazilian Chinese teacher and translator, she graduated from the University of São Paulo with a degree in Portuguese-Chinese Language and Literature in 2010, received a Master’s degree in Chinese International Education from Hubei University in 2015, and a Master’s degree in Literature and Translation Studies from the University of São Paulo in 2023. Currently a doctoral student at the same university, she also serves as a local teacher at the Confucius Institute at São Paulo State University. She has long been engaged in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and translating Chinese-Portuguese literature, dedicated to promoting cultural exchange between China and Brazil.
Jimena Wang 王焕卫
Certified Mandarin Chinese teacher with extensive international experience. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, and an additional master’s degree in Ibero-American Thought from the Complutense University of Madrid. She has taught in Thailand, Peru, Mexico, and is currently at the Chinese Cultural Center in Chile. She achieves academic excellence with a deep sensitivity toward cultural exchange, making her a natural expert on the Chinese language and culture internationally.
Cao Xianwen 曹贤文
Professor at Nanjing University, PhD supervisor, Vice Dean of the College of International Education, and Research Fellow at the China Language Strategies Research Center. He is a member of the Council of the World Association of Chinese Teaching, Vice Chairman of the Professional Committee for Faculty Development of the World Association of Chinese Teaching, PhD supervisor at East China Normal University and Nanjing Normal University, and a Distinguished Research Fellow at the High-Level Innovation Center for Language Resources at Beijing Language and Culture University. For many years, he has been involved in Chinese teaching and research internationally and has extensive experience in frontline teaching. He has published over 60 scholarly articles and more than 10 monographs and textbooks and has led multiple research projects funded by the National Social Science Fund and the Humanities and Social Science Fund of the Ministry of Education.
